Day-1: Arrival in Tbilisi and Transfer to Gudauri
Once you land at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport in Tbilisi, our friendly representative will greet you and escort you to your vehicle for a scenic drive to Gudauri, about 120 kilometers (two hours) away.
The first stop along the way is Ananuri Castle, where you will get a dose of ancient Georgian history and breathtaking natural beauty, thanks to the Jinvali Lake & Reservoir, mountains, and valleys in the surroundings. As the tour continues, you will next pause at Pasanauri, a mountain settlement at the meeting point of the white and black Aragvi Rivers. The tour’s showstopper is the ski resort of Gudauri, located at an altitude of over 2,200 meters. You can absorb its untouched charm, participate in activities (depending on the season), and enjoy photo ops at the Gudauri Friendship monument.
The tour culminates with the final stop at your pre-reserved accommodation. After check-in, spend overnight in your room.
Day-2: Kazbegi Tour and Transfer to Tbilisi
Today, you will check out from your Gudauri accommodation and join our representative for a guided Kazbegi tour aboard a 4X4 vehicle. Immerse yourself in its gorgeous scenery and make a stop at Stepantsminda, whose main attraction is Gergeti Trinity Church, a 14th-century church set against the backdrop of Mount Kazbeg. Following you this, you will be transferred to your Tbilisi accommodation, where you will check in and spend the rest of the day in your room or step out to explore the region’s attractions and cuisine.
Day-3: Half Day Tbilisi City Tour and Complementary Half Day Mtskheta Tour
This morning, your day kicks off with a tour of Tbilisi. With a friendly guide in town, you will set out to discover the region’s blend of iconic structures, legendary monuments, and hidden gems. Enjoy an up-close and detailed look at the splendid Holy Trinity Cathedral, stop at the iconic Metekhi church, and capture some cool snaps against the monument of Vakhtang Gorgasali – the founder of Tbilisi. As the tour continues, you will head to the Old Town whose highlights range from Narikala Fortress – a Persian Citadel to the antiquated Sulphur Bathhouse District and other monumental gems such as monumental treasures such as Sioni Cathedral. You also get to see the Peace Bridge and visit the marionette theatre of Rezo Gabriadze Theatre as part of your tour. Following a smooth drive of approximately 20 kilometers from Tbilisi, you will arrive at Mtskheta which was once the capital of Eastern Georgia Kingdom from 3rd century BC to 5th century AD. With your experienced guide, get ready to immerse yourself in its inimitable old world charm as you make stops at some of the region’s most treasured gems. This includes UNESCO World Heritages Sites such as the venerated Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (enshrined with Christ’s robe) and the 6th century Jvari Monastery, which is perched on a high cliff, overlooking the stunning river confluence views of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Day-4: Spend the Day at Your Leisure
Today, you will have an entire day to craft your own travel program. Yes, you can discover the city or the surrounding area at your own pace. It is up to you whether you choose to discover the Georgian gastronomic delights, cultural landmarks or even venture out of the city on one of these tours like Kakheti wine tour, or Cave city and Borjomi tour.
Day-5: Departure
Depending on your flight timing, your vehicle with driver will be ready to promptly transfer you back to Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport. This ensures a relaxed end to your Georgia vacation.
